Surgery Update, part 2

Wow . . . that's about all we can say right now. We just had the chance to see and touch Eddie for a few minutes before they had to do some more work on his dressings. Words can't begin to describe the awe and amazement we feel right now . . . our little boy has been through so much and to watch his chest rising and falling feels like a miracle. He has a long way to go, he continues to bleed quite a bit, and looking at him from the outside, he looks pretty rough . . . but he is stable and his surgeons/nurses are allowing themselves a few smiles right now.

Need to compose ourselves over the next few hours and will write more then. Thank you again for all your support!

  5. Ditto to everyone's comments! So happy to have the news that things went well. We are praying that the bleeding will not be excessive and healing can begin. Eddie has a fighting spirit much stronger than his fragile little three year old body might reveal. There are truly angels attending him, both those we can see...the medical caregivers...and those we cannot. He is in good hands! We send our love and prayers.

  7. Let me know if you need a hug brigade from Women's circle to come for a 5 - 10 minute visit to give hugs and then leave. We love you! Debby Neal

  10. We've been thinking of you all day long and Eddie, the strongest little boy in the world. How remarkable that he will get through this! Also remarkable is the composure and grace with which Ian and Lucy carry themselves each and every day when we see them at the bus. They are filled with positive certainty when I ask how he is/ how you all are.
Much love to you, the Cammarano's
