Request :-)

No news really, just a request.  John and I are putting final touches on our plans for when Eddie is in the hospital for his transplant.  Many of you have offered different kinds of help over the past weeks.  We've been so grateful for all the love, kind thoughts, good intentions, and help of all kinds you have given our family in this hard time.  It has made all the difference!  Now, as we plan for the transplant, not knowing when exactly that will happen, we're beginning to match possible needs with willing helpers.  I feel like my mind walked out the door with the cardiologist who told us Eddie needed a transplant.  So here's the request:  If you've offered help in the past or would like to now, could you remind me what it is that you're willing to do?  Just drop me or John an email...and forgive me for not keeping a list! :-)

  3. Sarah & Family - I would be happy to come up and stay with you to help out. You may be fine with friends around you, but just know I can if you need me. Love you all!!! I know that those of us, just looking on, can't really feel and understand all that you are going through and all that you are feeling, but I just wanted you to know that I know that the Lord is mindful of your little guy and of your whole family. He does have you in the palm of His hand, protecting and caring and loving you. As we have prayed for your family, we have felt such a sweet assurance of this love from our Heavenly Father. Thank you for being so willing to share what is happening and what you are experiencing. Again, I can't say it enough, we love you! - Love Holly, Roger and family

    1. Thanks Holly! You put it all so well...we feel like we are being carried through all of this. In addition, your encouraging words and generous offers of help really make all the difference to us. It is easy to feel alone, but when I have family and friends who are willing to support me, those feelings diminish. So what you are doing is working--keep those kind words and heartfelt prayers coming! :-)

  4. Sarah, we're right here; it's very easy for us to help out. Please, whenever you're in a pinch, if you need someone to watch all your big kids, or anything at all, don't hesitate to ring me up.
Thinking of you all the time, jill C.

  5. Dear Sarah, John, and Family.
We just want to let you know that all of you, and especially sweet little Eddie, are very close in our thoughts and prayers as you weather this extraordinary journey. We will continue to keep you close in our hearts. And if there is anything else that we can do at anytime, please feel free to call upon us. I'd mentioned to you, Sarah, that if a walk in the sun (when it comes out!) would ever help, I'd love to take a stroll. We're happy to watch kids, cook, clean, run errands...anything that might help.
